Genota date display formats are controlled by the computers regional settings. To ensure that the date is displayed as required, from the Windows toolbar select:
START > CONTROL PANEL > REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE OPTIONS > CUSTOMISE > DATE and reset the Short Date format as appropriate
Manual entry
When manually entering dates the date the following rules apply
the year must be known
if the day or month part of the date is less than 10 either enter a leading zero (0) or follow the number with the separator (/), i.e. 09 or 9/
any value greater than 12 entered into the day or month part of the date will be taken as being the day value
if the actual day and month part of the date is unknown nominate a default value to use, e.g. 01. This would result in a display of 01/01/2003
if only the actual day is unknown nominate a default value to use, e.g. 01. This would result in a display of 01/10/2003
Selecting from the drop down calendar
The year selection covers a period of 3 months each side of the current month for the current year.
If the month/year combination required is outside of the range displayed, the date must be manually entered, or press the left or right arrows to scroll to the required period
If the actual day and month part of the date is unknown nominate a default value to use, e.g. 01. This would result in a display of 01/01/2003
If only the actual day is unknown nominate a default value to use, e.g. 01. This would result in a display of 01/10/2003
