Options

 
  The Options window provides for  the user to configure Genota according to their preferences.
 
It is broken into three (3) primary areas: DATA FOLDERS, NOTE EDITOR and MISCELLANEOUS, the details of each being given below.

Changes to the configuration are managed by click selecting the check boxes alongside the required parameter. If checked the parameter is set, if blank it means that the option is inactive.
 
All operations on this screen affect Genota globally

Data Location

Displays the current, or selected data location

Data Location Selection

Opens the BROWSE FOR FOLDER dialog allowing the  user to navigate to, and select a folder into which the data files will be stored. An option MAKE NEW FOLDER is provided to enable the creation of a new folder if required.

Use Default

Loads the path to the default data location

Default Notebook Font

Select form the drop down list the default font to be used when creating notes. The  default is Arial

Default Font Size

Enter a value representing the default size font to be used when creating notes. The default is 10

Show Dialog On Exit checkbox

Check to display the confirmation dialog when exiting Genota

Backup On Exit checkbox

Check to force Genota to perform and automatic backup when closing

Show Hints checkbox

Check to display pop-up hints. Uncheck to prevent hints from displaying

Maximise Screen on Startup

Check to maximise the screen at start-up

Use Internal Web Browser checkbox

Check to use the default external web browser instead of the internal Genota Web Browser

Save button

Saves all changes to file
