The Notebook Manager is provides for the management of Notebooks used by Genota. It enables the creation, editing, renaming, merging and deletion of Notebooks

 

In addition, the SAMPLE Notebook can be installed and Notebook specific properties established  via this module

 

This Notebook Manager is accessed from the  Main Menu by selecting VIEW > NOTEBOOK MANAGER

 

Notebooks are a vehicle which enables the user to group and manage Notes at a high level

 

Notebooks may be from different family groups, research projects, locality studies or the like. However, if a Note is assigned to the wrong Notebook it is of little concern as the may be moved to another Notebook at any time and the search function allows the user to search across all Notebooks to find specific Notes

 

No limit is placed on the number of Notebooks that Genota can hold however it is highly recommended that some thought go into the intended use as well as the names given to each Notebook

 

Ideally, Notebooks should be mutually exclusive in their intended use, i.e. they do not overlap

 

Should it be impossible to place definitive boundaries on the use of a Notebooks, it may be prudent to place all of the information into a single Notebook and sub-group the Notes by assigning more specific CATEGORIES to each Note
